A link for the K - 3 Summer School is attached in this message. Please take some time to submit a form with your student(s) information so they can get enrolled in a class for this summer. There will also be a link on the Parkview web page that will take you to the enrollment form as well.
Thank you,

Congratulations to our Character Education Students of the Month! These kind-hearted students were chosen for their ability to empathize with others. What a special trait to possess at such a young age! #dragonnation

Why choose Parkview for preschool? Let us count the reasons:
1) We have a loving, caring, and competent staff. All teachers are certified by the state of Missouri, have received Project Construct training, and are trauma-informed. Our paraprofessionals are also trained on trauma-informed care as well as how to accommodate students with special needs.
2) Students learn through a hands-on, play-based learning environment. Our curriculum aligns with Missouri’s Early Learning Standards for Early Childhood. We use prerequisite literacy resources complimenting those used in our K-2 classrooms for a seamless transition in handwriting, phonemic awareness, phonics, and math. Our preschool teachers receive Science of Reading professional development monthly and the majority are enrolled in LETRS for Early Childhood for the 2024-2025 school year.
3) For qualifying students in need, we offer special education services with highly trained professionals in speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. We are quite proficient at advancing students’ speech, fine motor, and gross motor skills.
4) Our preschool is located in its own wing of Parkview Elementary, and offers an engaging, loving, and safe environment. Transportation is provided for all students. Parkview Preschool has two fenced-in playgrounds, including a new inclusive playground accommodating students with special needs.
5) The preschool offers half-day (AM: 7:30-10:30 or PM: 11:45-2:45) or full-day (7:15-2:45) options. Half-day programs are free; placement eligibility is based on needs first. Full-day is $15/day or free if your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch.
If this sounds like an early childhood program experience you’d like to offer your child, schedule a screening appointment by calling 816-882-1035. We look forward to hearing from you and working with your child!

Our K-2 tour of the PAC this morning was a moving experience! For many of our Parkview students, this was the first time they had stepped foot in our beautiful new facility. The wonderment of the building was quickly outdone; however, when we got to catch a snippet of older students practicing for this weekend's debut of Disney's Frozen Jr.! If you can, please take your family and support this production. The pride we felt for our former students, our school district, and our community was overwhelming. We truly have some outstanding talent, and their hard work deserves to be celebrated. Bravo, thespians. Bravo! 💛🎭🖤

Parkview’s first UMKC Dental Clinic was a great success! Thirty-eight students received dental services today, provided by a wonderful group of future hygienists and dentists. If your child received services today, an evaluation writeup was sent home in your child’s backpack. Seven additional clinics are scheduled between now and April. #DragonNation
