Sunshine Law Requests

Missouri Sunshine Law
The Revised Statute of Missouri (RSMO) 610, often referred to as the "Sunshine Law," took effect in 1973, and ensures the public has access to open meetings, records (written or electronic), votes, actions, and deliberations, of public governmental bodies, so they may see how the public body operates and spends public funds. Generally, open records will be made available for review and/or copying, and shall be provided to the extent allowable by the law, once applicable statutory fees have been paid by the requester. Missouri's Sunshine Law provides that some records may be closed to the public pursuant to the requirements of other local, state, and federal policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
