2024 District Report Card Information

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released school districts’ annual Report Cards in December 2024.  All reports can be found on the DESE website linked here.  You will need to choose Cameron R-I School District from the drop-down menu.  Below is a highlight of the data comparing the 2023 and 2024 Cameron R-I School District Report Cards.  The data points listed are not inclusive of the entire report, but offer opportunities and goal setting.

  • The proportional attendance rate increased from 81% in 2023 to 85.2% in 2024 and above the state average of 78.2% in 2024.
  • There was a slight decrease in the percent of students eligible for free or reduced priced meals going from 39.2% in 2023 to 37.0% in 2024 and below the state average of 47.7% in 2024.
  • The 4-year graduation rate increased slightly from 93.39% in 2023 to 93.85 in 2024 and above the 2024 state average of 90.79%.
  • There was an increase in the percent of students entering a 2 or 4-year college/university.
    • 2-year:  2023=14.7% and 2024=28.1%
    • 4-year:  2023=28.4% and 2024=36.0%
  • The percentage of professional staff with advanced degrees increased from 63.6% in 2023 to 67.5% in 2024 and remains above the state average of 61.1% in 2024.
  • Average teacher salaries increased from $53,277 in 2023 to $54,840 in 2024.
  • Composite ACT results increased from 20.8 in 2023 to 21.0 in 2024.  This remains higher than the 2024 state average of 19.9.
  • Suspensions of 10 or more consecutive days per year decreased from 19 in 2023 to 12 in 2024.  The 2024 rate was 0.8 which is much lower than the rate at the state level at 1.6.
