Cameron High School is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of High School Language Arts teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate should possess or be able to obtain certification in Language Arts 9-12. Cameron High School has approximately 420 students grades 9-12. Cameron High School is deeply committed to increasing our instructional effectiveness through our collaborative culture and professional growth opportunities to provide our students the best learning experiences possible. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Professional Learning Communities, Missouri Learning Standards, and Response to Intervention. The successful candidate will possess the ability to actively engage students in the learning process while also providing enrichment activities for students demonstrating mastery. The Cameron R-1 School District is seeking applications for a dynamic, student-centered high school science teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Depending on who is hired, the position could include Biology and PLTW Biomedical courses if the candidate is certified or willing to become certified. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing daily instruction, working in a collaborative team with other teachers, and effectively communicating with students, staff, and parents. The Cameron R-I School District has placed a bond initiative, Proposition B.E.S.T., on next Tuesday's, April 8th, 2025, General Municipal Election ballot. You likely know about the bond and what facilities improvements the District would like to fund, but for anyone who may not, here is a brief, informative video from Superintendent, Dr. Matt Robinson:

Hello CHS Families!!
It is already that time of year again to start planning for summer. Cameron School District is now accepting enrollment for its Summer School Programs. You can go to the school web page and click on the yellow Summer School tab to gain access to the enrollment form. Students entering into grades 9th - 12th should fill out the High School Enrollment form.
Important Information:
- Grades 9 -12 will be in session:
5/23 - 6/6 for 60 hours (.5 Credit) 8am - 2pm
5/23 - 6/19 for Physical Science 120 hours (1 Credit) 8am - 2pm
- Students can get ahead in credits to open up their school schedules during Junior/Senior year
- Students may also work towards completing their A+ 50 hours by helping during the K-8 Summer School session. (Contact Mrs. Marlene Jackson for info)

Cameron R-1 School District's teachers, administration, and staff are looking forward to welcoming students, (penguins, maybe even polar bears) back to school tomorrow! It will still be cold in the morning, so don't forget those insulated hats and gloves. Since we'll be easing into the weekend with a one-day week, we've decided to forego the curling, and move right into speed skating so we can catch up on lost time. We'll see everyone in the rink bright and early!
Day 3,247: Well, it's still snow-covered and frigid, and we've decided to embrace the madness of living in Minnesota. Starting Friday (hopefully), we will return to school and plan to practice Curling all day. It's a lifetime, athletically-inclusive sport, and you compete on the ice when it's freezing. No School for the Cameron R-1 School District Thursday, February 20th.
