Happy Homecoming, Dragons!

Happy Homecoming, Dragons!  Homecoming is a special time for our school district and our community as we celebrate the new school year, cheer on our awesome students, and welcome back Cameron Alumni.  

In that spirit, I want to shine the brightest light on our students.  It is not lost on me, nor should it be lost on you, that OUR kids are some of the BEST kids that there are out there.  From the youngest to the oldest, more often than not, you will find our students smiling, saying please and thank you, holding doors for others, helping others up when they fall, and cleaning up after themselves, and overall being positive role models.  As a long-time administrator and parent, I have spent a lot of time following our teams, both home and away, and I can tell you first-hand, that's not the case everywhere.  We are the lucky ones.

And speaking of spirit, our kids have the best school spirit and pride for each other!  Over the years, our school spirit has grown immensely.  If you haven't attended a varsity football or volleyball game to see our Cameron Crazies in action, it is a sight to behold! They have elaborate themes, dress up to the nines and are hands-down hilarious. Young or old, everyone is welcome to join them.  The support these kids show each other is unmatched by any other school in our conference.  

As we wrap up our Homecoming week, please join me in telling our Dragons how proud you are of them.  Rain or shine, win or loss, they show up and show out.  Good luck to all our football players and performers tonight and congratulations to our Homecoming attendants and candidates!  As always, it's a great day to be a Dragon!
