Cameron APR Update
Dear Cameron Dragons,It is an honor to provide updated information about our district's APR and further recognize the work of our Cameron Dragons. We are very proud of our students and staff and hope to instill that same sentiment for our Dragons within our community, as it is well-deserved and vital for our continued growth.
Students, thank you for your dedication to your learning and for applying yourselves on your MAP assessments. The APR is the ultimate report card we receive as a school district, recognizing your effort and proficiency on Missouri Learning Standards. We want you to remember that your value goes way beyond a standardized test; we value you and celebrate your growth, not only in your studies, but also in your activities and as individuals. Congratulations on a job well done!
Staff, thank you for your dedication to aligning our curriculum and increasing your use of research-based teaching strategies. Your dedication to the needs of your students and your craft is commendable. We will continue to self-reflect, set goals, and work to offer our students the best educational experience possible. Please take the time to have an age-appropriate discussion about the APR with your students and celebrate areas of growth together. Celebrating and recognizing achievement is not only an important component of a professional learning community, it's how we increase our students' self-esteem and belief in themselves as well as our own. For all you do, please know that we appreciate you!
Parents, thank you for your support of your child and your child's school. Ensuring your children are at school and ready to learn is the solid foundation you alone can provide. Our goals for student learning and growth are always better realized with your support. In a world where there are often more problems identified than solutions, we appreciate all of those who recognize the dedication of our students and staff. Thank you for your continued support of Cameron R-1 Schools!
Community, please take a moment to reflect on this annual progress report of our district which is issued by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We ask you to consider these results and the work it took to get here, resilience in the face of adversity. We also ask for your continued support as a community, specifically that you assume positive intentions from our district and project optimism to our students and staff. Our goal is to offer our children and staff a safe, positive environment in which to learn and work. And while we continue to work on improving practices district-wide, we can and should simultaneously encourage Dragon Pride. Our students, staff, and community deserve that and more.
Sincerely,
Dr. Matt Robinson, Superintendent
Dr. Angie Ormsby, Assistant Superintendent
