On Wednesday, December 6th at 7pm the Board of Education will be hosting a Special Meeting to discuss a few items. The first is the Fiscal Year Audit of 2023. The Board of Education needs to have two meetings to approve the Fiscal Audit of 2023 before our deadline of December 31st. We will also be sharing the audit information at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on December 19th. In addition, the Board of Education will be hosting a Financial Workshop in the near future to share how public school finance works and how the school district spends and receives its money. Anyone is welcome to attend any of these meetings.
The second item the Board of Education is reviewing is the policy IIAC to strengthen how the school district will look at instructional materials including libraries.
The third item concerns contracting with Durham Transportation about a bus lease agreement.
