Post Spring Break Challenge: Pick a teacher. Email him/her a positive note. CVMS teachers are missing their students. What a great opportunity to reach out to them!!!

Virtual learning and social distancing are challenging to adults, but are also challenging to students. Adolescents are social by nature and need to connect to others. Here are some suggestions that can be done as a family:

  • Take a walk on a new path
  • Play 4-Square
  • Karaoke to YouTube videos
  • Make an obstacle course in the yard---run to mailbox, do 5 jumping jax, run around the tree, do 5 squats, run to the porch, do 3 burpees
  • Go fishing
  • Call the neighbors through FaceTime to share your fun, family activity and helps spread smiles!

At CVMS, we live and breath the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.  Sometimes, it’s difficult to apply these techniques when challenges occur. Talk to your student about the 7 Habits. Ask them to share with you a habit a day. What a great way to help them continue their journey in life.
