Dear Parents and Guardians:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cameron R-1 School District is working to address all areas of concern for our students and staff. For the past month, we have had increased attention to the cleaning and sanitation of all areas of our buildings. The health and safety of our students and staff are our top priority as we navigate this event.
District administration is taking a proactive approach in order to be prepared should the need arise for our schools to not be in session. In order to prepare for potential time away from school, we are requesting information regarding your family’s technology at home should we need to utilize alternative methods of instruction. At the bottom of this letter, please indicate if your child has technology and Internet access available at home to aid us in planning for potential alternative online instructional delivery. Please note instructional packets would be provided to families without Internet access.
To ease your concerns, we will be following the guidelines and recommendations of the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services as well as the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We appreciate your support as we navigate this unprecedented event and work to ensure the safety of our students and staff as well as their educational success.
Dr. Matt Robinson, Superintendent of Schools
