Mission: Seeks to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer science education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through: Character Development, Creative and Critical Thinking, Interpersonal Communication, Practical Knowledge and Vocational Preparation.
Meetings: Meetings every first Monday of the month in Ms. Edwards’ room.
Membership: To become a member a student must be taking (or have taken) a Family and Consumer Sciences education course, and pay membership dues. Membership dues are $20 and include national, state, regional and local dues. All members will receive a chapter t-shirt.
FCCLA is a wonderful opportunity for students to get involved in school while improving their leadership skills. What we do will depend entirely on the membership. Members may be as involved as they choose. They have the opportunity to achieve a member of distinction status as well as attend local, regional, state, and national meetings. Our local chapter has a small budget and we usually assist with transportation, but members may be responsible for other expenses and/or fundraising if they choose to participate.
If you have any questions contact an organization member or email Katelyn Edwards, Local Advisor/FACS Instructor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
