Process

What do we do now?

1.Students will be placed in teams of three. Each member will select a role and get educational instruction from the links below.

A. ice (solid expert)
B. rain (liquid expert)
C. steam (gas expert)

Each expert will click on their selected role for instruction in their area of expertise. Be sure each expert completes the worksheet of the information gathered throughout the individual instruction and on the back explain how this information could help you in a real-life situation and include this as part of your log.

2. When everyone has completed their instruction, come back together and share/teach your individual discoveries. As a team do the first activity. Be sure to continue to discuss and log all information gathered during the experiment based on what you learned from sharing your instruction. What happened?

3. Now as a team complete the second activity. Be sure to continue to discuss and log all information gathered during the activity. How did you do? What do you need to work on?

4. As a team use your log to create a venn diagram to compare and contrast the two activities. What happened in each experiment? Explain why things happened?

5. Now create your team poster. Be creative and work together. Be sure to include three examples of each property and the results from your experiments.

6. Finally, develop a lesson presentation for the class. Be creative including the results from your experiments, your team poster, and each property of matter.
