About the Band

The Cameron Band Program is dedicated to creating outstanding musicians and individuals by setting high expectations for not only musicianship, but also in leadership, teamwork, and ethics.  Students will be given many opportunities for personal growth through leadership positions, audition for special events and groups, preparing solos and ensembles, and participating in a mentor program.

Students learn that “hard work+discipline+fun=success.”  Success in our program is not necessarily determined by ratings or placement at contest.  The most important achievement for the band and the band students is to know that they have done the best they could possibly do.  The exhilaration from a great performance is the ultimate reward.
