Today is the first day of a new learning experience for all of us here at CVMS. I’m so thankful for your patience as we put into practice new learning opportunities virtually and through packets.  Please know this is new to all of us and we will be working through the kinks as we go. While we don’t have all the answers, we do know that when we work together...and support each other...miracles happen. Check out this link for a message from the CVMS family.

Because of some confusion from last week, I want to try to clear the air. Like many other school districts, there are two types of learning opportunities for CVMS students: online and packet. The current assignments are over previously learned (not new) standards. While these are for a grade, they are now due at the reopening of CVMS. These assignments will be formative grades, which are 10% of the overall grade. For both types of learners, teachers have virtual office hours form 9-11 am any day school would have been in session. Please know that this is the of right now.  Like the rest of the nation, plans change daily. However, we are trying to provide as much stability as possible.

CVMS is closed. If you have a question about an assignment, please email the teacher directly. If you have a question about the building, please contact Assistant Principal Fisher ( or Principal Collins ( If you have a question about the food delivery services, please contact Donna Frazier (

Staying positive right now can be hard...but here’s my challenge to CVMS: Every time you hear about COVID or something negative, say (or post) one positive thought. Just imagine how much we could change our mindset and the mindset of those around us if we started looking through the glass half full of blessings. Until next time, GO DRAGONS!!!
