Counselor McDaniel and CHS Counselors are working with 8th graders to prepare their ICAP for high school. There will be an orientation on Thursday, March 12, in the CHS commons at 5 pm, 6:15 pm, and 7:30 pm. Please click here for details. Interested in PTSA? Click here to reach out to them and/or volunteer. The 2020 Cameron PTSA nominating committee is in the process of seeking volunteers to serve on the Cameron PTSA Board as elected officers for the 2020-2021 school year. No special training or experience is necessary.  PTA provides free training and resources to help you succeed. Consider these questions - 

  • Do you enjoy volunteer work?
  • Do you like helping students succeed?
  • Do you like meeting new people?
  • Do you like to be a part of the solution?
  • Do you want to be more involved in our schools and community? 

The elected positions (officers) of this PTSA are: President, 1st Vice-President - Bylaws Chair, 2nd, Vice-President - Programs Chair, 3rd Vice-President - Volunteer Coordinator, 4th, Vice-President - Ways & Means Chair, 5th Vice-President - Membership Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. We would enjoy the opportunity to share more information with you about these positions and discuss how you would like to volunteer next school year. The board will also be looking for several committee chairs. Please use this link below to complete a short information form before Saturday, March 7th. Next week, CVMS students will be taking the final round of NWEA for the school year. 

Information about conferences were sent home with all students this week. If you did not receive that information, please ask your student or contact your child’s teacher. Conferences will be on March 19. Students are dismissed at 12:30 pm. Conferences will begin at 1 pm. We ask that anyone arriving early to wait in the front office as this will allow teachers time to set up their classrooms after a day filled with teaching. Conferences should take about 30 minutes.  Please plan to arrive by 7:30 pm to ensure ample time to complete the conference as our building closes at 8 pm.
