Students throughout the district will be taking the NWEA assessment three times throughout the year. This norm referenced assessment will provide feedback on progress for the learning standards. The information can be used when placing a student in an appropriate RtI class, tutoring, or guiding individualized instruction. With this being our first year, we appreciate your patience with our learning curve and continued adjustments for improvement.

Vaping can lead to serious health concerns. For middle school and high school students, vaping is on the rise. Please click here for an article from the CDC regarding this growing concern. At Cameron R-1, we take vaping seriously. If a student is vaping or has vaping paraphernalia on school property, discipline will occur and the item(s) will be confiscated and not returned. Please take the time to talk to your student(s) about vaping, as it will be discussed during CVMS health classes.
